FISHING EXPERIENCE:
Pat has been fishing nearly all his life, giving him over 30 years of experience fishing local lakes and rivers. From his early years, fishing Rainy Lake and some lakes in Canada, to his years fishing Lake Vermilion and many Iron Range lakes, he learned a lot about catching all species of fish. Most recently, Pat has been concentrating on lakes and rivers around the Duluth, Cloquet, and Moose Lake areas.
Pat has been fishing in tournaments and leagues for the past few years. The ALS Walleye Tournament on Island Lake is one of his favorites, finishing in the top-20 on three separate occasions. He fished his first tournament with the World Walleye Association (WWA) last summer and hopes to do more in the future. He has fished in the Minnesota Multi-Species Tournament Series (MMTS) for the past 2 years, and in 2006, won the MMTS Rookie of the Year Award and the MMTS Big Walleye Award.
When not fishing, Pat stays busy with youth hockey in Proctor. He's put his time in on the board of directors, as well as coaching. He is currently the team manager for his son's Peewee team.
Pat's real passion for fishing is helping others, children and adults, learn to fish. He has taken kids fishing with the Mentor Duluth program, as well as the Take-A-Kid-Fishing tournament on Fish Lake. In addtion, he has helped many friends and relatives learn how to fish the beautiful lakes of northern Minnesota. Last year, he helped his 2-year-old daughter fall in love with the sport of fishing. She caught a lot of fish, including a 3 pound bass!
PERSONAL BESTS: 14" Crappie, 38" Northern Pike, A few 26" Walleyes, and an 8 pound Brown Trout, to name a few. Can't forget about the 45 pound Amber-Jack caught on the Atlantic Ocean!
